Introduction
When a learner clicks a link in a PhishSim email they will also receive an email notification. The notification serves as verification of a training exercise and confirmation that their device has not been compromised. The notification will also include a link to follow-up training. These notifications can be customized to be consistent with your brand and preferred language about your training program.Edit or Create a Notification
To edit PhishSim notifications, navigate to PhishSim > Notifications. The default notifications indicate that the learner was enrolled in a simulated phishing exercise sent on behalf of your organization. The notification also includes the same training that the learner would have received at the time of the phished event.
When creating a custom notification, you may wish to also include information on how to report suspected phishing emails or other organization-specific communication about your training program.
Variables are also available in notifications to personalize the experience. A variable will pull in information from the platform such as the learner’s name, department name, manager name, and more. A complete list of notification variables can be found here.
Please see PhishSim Notification Editor for more information on creating and editing templates.
Using Notifications
You can configure PhishSim notifications in the Advanced Settings section of the campaign creator. Select the option to send a follow-up email, and then select a notification from the drop-down menu.
Resend Notifications
Phished learner notifications can be re-sent within 30 days of the learner being phished:
- Navigate to PhishSim > Campaigns
- Click on the Details button on a campaign.
- Click on the bar graph button for the run the learner was phished in.
- Click on the envelope icon for the learner.
Blind Phishing Campaigns
When conducting a blind PhishSim campaign learners shouldn't receive a follow-up notification. During the campaign creation process, be sure to uncheck the option to send a follow-up email to the learner.Share Notifications
If you are logged into a subaccount as a Global Administrator, you can share PhishSim notifications with all other sub-accounts. To share a notification, hover over a custom notification and click the globe button. You will be asked to confirm that you want to share the notification.
Note: Shared notifications cannot be deleted.
